Production and packaging services

At the “Augma” warehouses in the Vilnius and Klaipėda regions, we select and package fruits, vegetables, and herbs. We are proud to feature modern production and packaging lines from the Italian manufacturer “Ulma” which ensure high productivity. Production lines ensure the quality of selected products up to 94%.

Production and packaging line

This line can package both multi-colored and single-colored tomatoes. The production line checks the ripeness of the tomatoes and scans for possible defects. Suitable tomatoes are packaged by desired weight into the desired packaging. The entire process takes place on one production line.

„Flow pack“ packaging

We have three flow pack type packaging lines and one packaging line for net bags. We package according to the client’s desired weight, number of units, packaging type, and other parameters.

Packaging in boxes / trays / containers / bags

We package in various sizes of plastic (strip, „flow pack“) packages, recycled and corrugated cardboard boxes/trays, recycled paper boxes/trays, and net bags.

Labels and stickers

We take care of producing client’s labels and stickers, their application on packages, and barcode marking.

Fruit ripening

We are the largest banana ripener in the Baltic States. We currently have 36 modern ripening chambers for bananas, avocados and mangoes in our warehouses. These chambers can ripen more than 25 000 boxes of bananas at a time.

  • We ripen not only conventional bananas, but also red, mini and organic bananas.
  • Avocados ripened: Hass, organic, green and others.
  • Mangoes: Kent and others.

What is ethylene gas?

Ethylene gas promotes fruit ripening. Many fruits, including bananas, produce their own ethylene as they begin to ripen. Ethylene triggers the onset of many ripening processes, such as softening of cell walls, conversion of starch to sugar, degradation of chlorophyll (loss of green colour) and the formation of aromatic compounds. These gases are completely harmless to the consumer.

Across all our branches in Lithuania and Latvia, we have 16,000 square meters of warehouses designed for storing fruits and vegetables at different temperatures.   • “EKOagros” certificate

    “Ekoagros” – organic production certificate. We package and trade organic fruits and vegetables from farms in Lithuania and around the world.

  • Globalgap

    The GLOBALG.A.P. certificate is an internationally recognized agricultural standard designed to ensure safe and sustainable agricultural production. This certificate covers good agricultural practice guidelines, including food safety, environmental protection, worker health and safety, and animal welfare. With this certificate, we work with similarly certified suppliers to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with international standards.
